Isn't this a fascinating Scandinavian design chair?!!  The seat was woven in a herringbone pattern, and finished with clear shellac.

This stool was woven with 1/4" flat/oval reed in a Diamond pattern, which was finished with amber shellac.  Since the sides were so wide, I was able to add a decorative pattern on the sides as well!  Isn't it lovely?!!

The first 2 pictures are of a chair woven in a Diamond pattern with 1/2" splint, and finished with a Sedona Red stain.
The third picture is also a Diamond, finished with clear shellac.  The bottom picture is the seat of a porch rocker which was woven in 1/4" reed, half of which was stained brown before weaving to make the design really pop!
