This well-worn rocker was in desperate need of a  complete make-over, so after removing the old reed and repairing the frame we got underway with designing a whole new look!

The owner decided to be wonderfully creative, choosing to have me do a complex diamond pattern on the back, the front, and the seat in Danish Cord!  Doesn't it look Awesome?!!

These lovely chairs were designed in about 1949 by Hans Wegner, and manufactured in Denmark by Carl Hansen & Sons.  (Their website features a wonderful array of his fascinating designs, which are still available after all this time!)  They are delightfully comfy, and very beautiful with their new seats!  The first photo is the before picture of one of the chairs.  They were 38 years old at that point!  It's amazing how well the old seats had lasted, but the new seats bring new life to the chairs, bringing them back to their original glory!  I had the privilege of reweaving the entire set of 8 chairs!
